3-piece BBS wheel reseal procedure?

About to receive my new-to-me 3-piece BBS RS wheels, and I'm looking to pull them apart & re-seal them.

I've been told to use Dow Corning #832, which I'll be getting in this week.

Does someone have a decent write-up on the process? I'm looking for where / how much to apply a bead of silicone rubber to, etc. Separation seems to be remove as much of the previous sealant & tap vs. pry.

Can I assume blue loctite will be adequate for the bolts / nuts? I read 23 lb-ft for the bolts, and in a crossing pattern for loosening / tightening, 24-48 hours to cure before mounting & inflating.

I'm not looking to do a full off restoration of these wheels, as they look pretty clean, but I'll likely polish the front outers. If I run into issues with the hardware, is there a place I can get them?

Thanks guys.

Yes, I drive mine as much as possible. If it's >32° & sunny, I've got the top down.

I made up a set of 17" fuch replica wheels useing BBS rim halves and machined forged centers from 16" fuch donor wheels. When I ordered the parts from BBS they also suggested I use their sealing ring. This sealing ring was a thin spacer that was sandwiched between the rim halves. This spacer had face grooves machined on either side with large rubber o-rings placed within the groove. These o-rings sealed the wheel and no sealant was needed. I'm not sure if they use these rings on their other wheels but I thought I'd mention it just in case they did.

You should be able to get all the hardware you need from BBS motorsports in Florida.
