Flywheel sensor pin?
I am having no start issues (has never run since I purchased a year ago) and am checking the flywheel sensors and the sensor "pin" on the flywheel. The pin on my flywheel looks to be an average zinc plated socket head bolt. Will this work or is something else expected? It looked like the pin in my manuel was more of a set screw. I did not know if it had a magnetic end or if the sensor is just a prox sensor and any metal object would do. The manuel says to replace with part from dealer... Any experts on the subject?
Thanks Trey |

This issue was discussed just a couple of weeks ago. The pin is just plain old steel. Nothing special and certainly not magnetic. Someone else mentioned using a socket head bolt for the pin.
