hood Lock early 911s
Now that the goodies under the front hood are becoming so expensive (spare, tools, etc) I'm wondering if there's a way to lock my 69's hood like I can do with my '72? Anyone tried to do this or is it just a matter of time before my deep sixes and tools are deep sixed?

AFIK, only the targa has a lockable trunk (as you have on your 72.) Maybe there is an aftermarket lock available, or you could adapt one from a wrecked targa.

Interesting...I guess the targa top (which is now less expensive than the toolkit) was considered high value back in the day! Oh no now I get it, it's because they wanted a way to secure the hood when the top was off...I guess it was considered unlikely back then that someone would just smash your window and in a second open the hood. Oh how the times have changed!
