'84 Cab, new top... reseal procedure / tips?
Hi guys,
having a new rear-zip-window top installed this week. New top from our host (/World), and new seals from Pelican too. I already have the new headliner cloth as well. I'm having it done by the guy that did the re-sew on the rear zipper window, and I know he's done a ton of other tops (not necessarily 911 tops though). I want to make sure I end up with a leak-free setup (stop laughing, I know, it's impossible). Anyway, I seem to remember reading about having to modify some seals? Here's what I ordered, if someone knows of something I / He needs to be aware of, PLEASE let me know. Thanks! 911-565-090-47-M260 / Cab & targa windshield frame seal 911-561-221-01-M260 / Left Cab vertical door window to top seal (this doesn't seem to have the "cloth" that my original one had, just rubber?) 911-561-222-01-M260 / Right Cab vertical door window to top seal (ditto) 911-561-244-01-M136 / Cab Top Front Edge Seal (is this the one that needed to be trimmed?) 911-561-206-00-M136 / Cab Top Side Seal - Right 911-561-205-00-M136 / Cab Top Side Seal - Left 911-531-095-40-M260 / Cab / Targa / Speedster Door, Left / Right 911-561-371-00-M100 / Cab top to body seal, Rear 911-561-463-00-M100 / Cab top to body seal, left 911-561-464-00-M100 / Cab top to body seal, right 911-799-542-85-M260 / Fixed Vent Window Seal 911-542-065-41-M260 / Cab Vent Window Cap, left 911-542-066-41-M260 / Cab Vent Window Cap, right 911-531-523-65-OEM / Door Seal Cap Also got the door / outer window seals but figured we could do those later. Thanks guys! Appreciate any heads-ups.
