912-6 on the home stretch

Had the first drive of the 912-6 June 1 of 2004

Then started down the slipper slope of track days...which lead to wider fenders and fiberglass parts.

Took her off the track last year to start putting in a cage, which I just finished

So I'm on to the final step, next friday she goes to the body shop to get a new color of paint. Spent last weekend and this sanding...

Will you be putting on Long Hood front hardware? I would do that little step to make it look good!

Color will be either 156 orange, the newer gt3 orange, or something similar. We're still debating the exact shade of orange.

No long hood, going the opposite direction with a c2 front bumper.

I love the fact that you are tracking a car with miss matched paint. It's awesome. It's like a bastard car like mine. I have the utmost respect for you and your car Sir, best of luck to you and your car.

Looks great

That thing is going to be soo fun to put back together. It's always more fun when you can see progress. Very nice color to by the way. Best of luck in the road to the finish.

Color is a close match to 156 orange, just a hair not as red.

Comment from the painter "I hate painting race cars..." I think he's doing great!

I love orange cars, but always thought it looked best on "somebody's else's" car. I don't know what specific color you went with, but let me tell you, that is the RIGHT orange! Looks fantastic!

Quick question...are you running huge rear spacers with those late offset cup wheels? If so, how big are they and how do you feel about them on the track?

Great project, great outcome! Thanks for sharing.

I have about 1-3/4" spacers in the rear and 1" in the front with longer studs pressed into all the hubs. I've never had any issue with the spacers and studs on the track. I don't like the idea of using adapters on the track.
