Leather Recaro bucket seats

Hi guys,

I'm going to buy these seats, which I believe were standard issue on Speedsters and GT2 (?)

How can I verify if these are the real deal? Should there be numbers stamped or decals somewhere?

Just to be on the safe side ... these will fit my 86, no?
(Brackets are included in the 1350 euro asking-price.)

look at the back of the seat, the real deals will have bracing ridges built into the f/g

we crossed posts.

yes, those are either Speedster or RS seats.

the Speedsters have a sling type seating arrangement the RS just has thin pads.

a pair? including mounts? is a very good price, though I don't like the fit of the leather covers.

Yes, the Speedster and RS seats are slightly different.

none of the aftermarket Recaro PP type seats have the external ribs

The seats you show seems to be RS 964 real Recaro models , that you can recognize to the color of the center , grey , dark grey...(or 959 , or 993 RS) and at the official stamp.

Mine's are just after-sale models , with small differences than yours.( location of the stamp Recaro for example)

Price i paid for : 2000 euros .

Mate , you've got chance : buy them quickly !!!!

The Pole Position after sale version , like mine's , have not road homologation , only Boxter and 996 .(you can see this information on the Recaro official website)

Thanks for the info guys,

I'll be buying them this afternoon.
Hopefully nobody will outbid me for the next 3 hours. I already have a verbal agreement with the guy to buy them. But I've had those before and still missed out on the purchase...

They have been re-upholstered, that's why the fit of the cover isn't perfect, but hey, for 1750 usd (1350 euro), who's complaining?? (Not me)

I just bought a pair recently from a Euro Carrera RS.

That is a great price if you can get them for that.

The Speedster seats have a white back side with 5 support ribs while the black seats have 9 support ribs.

Here is a thread with some info on these seats.

F/S : RARE PORSCHE (euro) 1992 Carrera RS leather buckets

Good luck on your purchase.

I notice something : just have a look at the bottom of the seats on the first picture : they're flat .

At the opposite , the Pole Position is round at the bottom.

I think your seats are not Pole Position but Recaro APEX , with just a new leather undercover.
