1988 Carrera Howling Sound From Fan
I can't remember if this noise is normal for the motor or is something new. My 88 Carrera has only 15,200 miles on it so any noise I am not used to makes me think.. I changed all of the fuel lines and when I started the motor I noticed a howling, air tunnel noise coming from the center fan area. First I was thinking belts or air passage but I am not sure. Is a howling sound from that area a normal sound?
Thanks Jack 1988 Carrera |

Take a look at the inside of the fan housing to make sure that the fan isn't rubbing against the housing. If it is, you may be on the brink of alternator bearing failure, or your fan may be loose.

"or your fan may be loose."
Or the belt. Hope the belt's not a '88. |
