Weber jetting 3.0 SC
trying to read all the threads on weber jetting and now my brain hurts so i hope you guys can help. i have a set of 40 IDA's on my 3.0 SC. (stock cams, 9.5 JE's). I slapped them on the end of last year's season and never went thru them. Now I have some time and Im going to take them off to see what I have in there. I'd like to start with the correct hardware. Im a carb noob so be gentle. looking for all the jets, tubes and vent sizes. The car is track only so I need the hot track setup.
TIA, Scott

Thank you.
First, 1 5/8" headers are too big for a stock-cammed 3.0; 1.5" is FAR better. This really affects the RPM range that your engine will run in. Our 3.0 spec race engines make 260+ HP with stock cams using 1.5" ones so they are not restricting anything,... ![]() ![]() After you resolve the above issue, I'd start with 36mm venturies, 155 mains, 180 A/C's and 55 idles. F3 emulsion tubes are best but they are NLA. Unless you find a good used set, you are stuck with F26's. Remember, these engines are VERY sensitive to exhaust configurations: headers and muffler system, so don't shortcut anything.
