Is this possible for 3.2 muffler?

I mean exit under bumper between two rubber gaurds. Will internal chambers allow this? Never seen inside of muffler. [This message has been edited by poorsche (edited 06-05-2001).] [This message has been edited by poorsche (edited 06-06-2001).] |
Maybe could add another inlet also for the SSI. Also could be that I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Hey, I know less than you, but wouldn't having the outlet pipes between the rubber guards cause some heat issues? Either damage to the rubber or blackening and warping of the license plate?

I think that would look a little goofy on a later model 911 but to each his own!
I would be very interested in hearing if anyone has ever added a second tip to their existing sausage muffler. I so badly want two tips but refuse to pay $800 for it! |
do a search on "chute" in the subject line. i posted this around a week ago, and someone responded with a link to a how-to page, and although leland is right, he's only half-right!
I think that is one of the coolest appearance factors of the early 70s carreras: those dual exhausts out the center. Remove that little rail at the bottom of the bumper and two exhausts. I have a mig welder, and I intend to give this a shot with my OEM muffler; ah what the hell you only live once. http://www.early911sregistry.org/TechInfo.html [This message has been edited by Kurt B (edited 06-06-2001).] |

The dual outlet sausage is a common upgrade. I've done it to mine and know many more that have as well. A few different ways to go about it. I listed a detailed review a few months back, can't recall the post topic name, but it was specifically about this mod. |
