Porsche 1972 color code "018"

I wonder if any of you have a car in this color, and if they do, could they put one/some pictures into the system? (or even just a sample of the exact color). Fact is, my 1972 911's original color is "018" (Tangerine, or "Blutorange") and I'm considering putting her back into that color which I agree to be very ...1972 and "visible", which is one reason for having it so!

Hi Paul,
My car in the 911 Gallery is Continental orange, which is about indistinguishable form the Tangerine. My mechenic has a '76 Carrera 2.7 in Tangerine, and we put them side by side, and there was no telling which is which. If anything, the tangerine is a little more on the red side, the Continental on the yellow side, but it's VERY faint.

This is my '72 911S in Tangerine:

I think the photo is a little more red than it is in real life.

Thanks Greg, for the picture. Your statement that it looks more red in the picture than in reality explains why I didn't recognize your car (which I'd seen before) as a "tangerine" one. Also, it looks more red than the sparse patches of "old" paint showing through the newer cover-up paint. But the more I see of the "018", the more I'm convinced that -provided I choke up the cash for stripping and repainting, that'll be the color: back to the roots!
