Introduction and Photos

Hi all,

I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself to the board where I have lurked for an unbelievable amount of time (we are talking years here). About a year ago, I came across the car I had been searching for...and have never looked back! It was a perfect situation as some of the exact items I would have done were already completed by the PO (notably the 3.2/SSIs, but also some little things, like the rear pop-outs). Since taking possession, I have knocked out a number of other things...and I am happy to say that 100% of both the info and stuff have been acquired from either our host or individuals on this very board! I should also say that every purchase experience was simply flawless...something you would not think by some of the posts!

Anyhow....enough with the blabbing

And, like most on here, I have another addiction

Thanks all!

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Kidrock - You need to get another Bronco...those years are my absolute favorite! Back in my FJ40 days, a buddy of mine had an uncut '67 that was just a BEAST! (351W w/a C4)

Joe - How happy are you with your exhaust? I have a Bursch setup I am on the fence about.

Cheers,

Great looking 911! Ever considered mounting a FG front bumper to match the rear. Looks awesome regardless...

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the compliments...and I am beyond considering a FG front bumper - actually looking for the right one to come available for sale! I just bought some old school BBS-Mahle rims from RichF on here as well...should be here this week!

Next items on the list:

- SW Chip for the 3.2
- A more serious exhaust (currently have a decent Bursch setup)
- Yank out the sorry excuse for back seats and carpet the area (lots of searches on this)
- Figure out the best method to get about 2-3" more headroom...I am 6'3" and I already have to drive with a 'gangsta lean' (that was for you Playa) if I am wearing a hat, much less a helmet.

Thanks again!

I love my B&B setup 2 in/1 out. Sounds great but not too loud. Combined with a SW chip the torque comes in earlier.
A friend of mine has the same system and had to take it off to fix a weld. He put a set of Bursch headers and muffler on and said there was a serious loss of power. He told me he can't wait to put the B&B back on.

Erik,
Nice mix or components!

I love that drive up cornell RD, the tunnel, forest Park and the bird sanctuary. Skyline and Germantown RD completes a fun route. I drive my SC from Oceanside to Portland every Saturday, I'll be looking for you!

Eric, welcome and congratulations. That's a sweet looking ride. Now we're getting into prime weather here in PDX, time to get out and let it rip!

Welcome, and thanks for posting pics. I really like the combination of the duck, the smoother rear bumper, and the white color.

If you increase headroom, please be sure to post the method you user. Especially if you do something unique. I'm 6' 1" and I comfortably fit (barely) without a helmet, but then I'm still using the stock seats.

Welcome aboard... Nice ride... What year is it? Kind of missed that..:)

Erik:

That is a very purposeful 911 you have there. I sure like it. White 911's always look like race cars to me.

I bet it is a blast driving your Porsche up in Oregon--beautiful country!

Hello everyone,

Thanks again for the kind words!

Tsunamiboy – I am impressed you recognized the road! That is my ‘route’ (Burnside/Skyline/Cornell and back down into the city) during the winter months when I need/am able to get the 911 out of the garage and whip it in ass a bit…loads of fun. What I would give for them to have never places speed humps on Skyline! See you and John (JP55) on the road for sure!

Luis – I have a wicked ’77! You are right on the miss…it is always the most basic pieces of information one forgets in their intro.

And to everyone else on the color…Thanks and I agree on white! Surely there are more exciting color choices, but I always have been a fan on something unassuming, and force the rest of the car do the talking – I am certainly not there yet, but working on it!

Cheers,
