Alarm bypass
Followed the recommendations from the Forum since my alarm has had issues. Took me a total of 1 1/2hr to do and worked perfectly. Simple and straightforward.
THANKS!! |
Which thread did you follow? I have temporarily fixed mine by jumpering the 'unlock' input , but I need a long term fix.

Just a few dollars in parts, heat shrink, insulated terminals and good wire. Just make sure your connections are tight. I had a wire come off when I put the ventilation system back in. I had to take it all out again.
Below is the link to the thread. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/437580-no-cut-method-bypassing-factory-alarm.html Its really pretty cool, the #15 circuit supplies ignition power to the 87a circuit. If you wanted to create a manual toggle switch it would go here. This would give you a great starter kill. Just route the wires under the dash to a hidden switch. The #61 terminals have to do with the alternator circuit. Connecting these two will keep your battery light off. |
here is a link to a thread on how i solder wires, hope it helps.
