At the doctors
Ok so to follow on from my thread earlier about my valve adjust etc. Misty thats my 82 sc is at the doctors, thats what I am now calling the local Bosch tech I found. Dropped her off today and the tech Ernie is a real old school wrench, smallish shop but when I got there he told me to start her up and got right in there with his stethoscope. He identified a small vacuum leak withing first few minutes. That aside she is getting her injection pressures verified and her CIS tuned. Should get her back tomorrow lunchtime and hoping for good news all round. Will update on outcome as news comes in

Called the doc lunchtime and he was a little behind but Misty was under the wrench. Identified slight vacuum leak at #4 intake runner, which was having a new gasket installed (I never replaced the old ones when I changed out my blown airbox, not bas 5 of 6 holding). It amazed me that the second he stuck his head in the engine bay he said I had a leak, I said really as I could hear nothing, I so trust this guy. Anyway Ernie was running behind schedule so did not get her back today, should be tomorrow, just needed injection pressures checked and CIS mix set up.

She is back in the garage running stronger and better than ever. Delays due to staff issues at the garage but a thorough job done. As mentioned #4 intake gasket replaced, fuel pressures checked and CO levels set. In saying that though Ernie did mention that my AFR ration was not bad using my sniff technique. So chuffed and all in it cost me $71.76 yes thats all amazing really...
