Speedo repair, which one
Gents, getting ready to send out my speedometer from my 1987 Targa, the speedo only starts to work after I tap the gauge with my finger and the odometer has not worked in years. Does anyone have a choice between, Palo Alto or North Hollywood Speedometer (VDO) any advice, thanks Lenny.

I used a company in Miami and they were very helpful on the phone and had a quick turnaround. dnaspeedometers.com, price was good!

Might take a look at the Miami co. I am about one hour north of there, maybe a quicker turn around.

I've heard good things about both companies.
But I happened to be in Palo Alto Speedometer's shop last week and can vouch for their excellent service. Seems they are getting a lot of business from Europe these days too. Ask for Hartmut. Markus '80 SC Targa |

sent all my gauges to hollywood for a rebuild, came out great, they were very friendly, very helpful, fast, and very expensive,

fully disassembled, blasted, customized and restored 75 targa with factory hard top, 993 style turbo ft fenders, steel flares, C2 bumpers and rockers, 82 3.0 sc 9.5/1 engine with PMS flywheel, 964 cams, flowed heads, ssi's short geared 915 w/lsd, polybronze, bilstein,working lambda, modified and highly tuned cis, tensioners, pop valve, backdated exhaust and heater, 2300 lbs. no bolt left untouched. 1970 911E. Nice car but needs a re-do. |
