Quick Tach SC Spade Connections

A quick question. Looking at the wiring diagram for the SC. I've changed the 76 tach to an 81 tach. I think the power signal (+ red/black), tach signal (TD purple/black), and ground (- brown) wires are connected differently. When looking at the SC tach from the back should it be wired from left to right: power signal, tach signal, and ground. Am I right?

When looking at back of the '76 tach from left to right, it was connected tach signal - 1A, power signal - 2A, and ground - 3A.
