Need Diagram -69 Eng Compartment Hose's
Trying to put all the crankcase - air intake - oil ventilation hoses in a 69 911 2.0l. Anybody have a schematic or diagram of what goes where?

I don't have pics, but what hose do you have a question on? Is you car a MfI or Carb?

I bought this 69 911T disassembled. This is the original carborated 2.0l. I can't find a diagram showing the crankcase ventilation hoses that go from the oill tank to the engine and airfilter housing.
Also where does the other end of the vacuum hose go is attached to the the throttle advance module (?) that is mounted with the crankcase ventilation cover? Thanks - Chris |

I will try to locate a photo of my original/factory setup.
But there are only two major hoses; ![]() 1. The top/rear engine vent hose runs over to the top of the oil tank. 2. (Not seen in this photo) but the vent that is at the top of the oil filler neck runs to the factory air cleaner/metal box. 3. My car had no " throttle advance module "? But the Webers do have vacuum ports on the right bank. Mine are capped off.

Ok, I have the engine to vent hose to the top of the tank correct. Do you know if the oil filler neck line runs to the front snorkle port or to the fuel arrestor port on the rear bottom of the aair cleaner box?

____________ It appears so. It's been over six years since I pulled mine all apart and the air box is in a storage facility (not at my home), so I can't go look at it easily. Here is a photo, before I started pulling parts off. It looks like it goes to the lower, rear/right side. Hope this helps. ![]()

Thanks for you help. It does look like it goes to the bottom rear arrester on the air filter housing. I think I'll search for more engine compartment pics and see what I can see.

That helps..It looks looks like the hose from the front snorkle is the paper type and that it goes to the port on the tub rail?

Now that last photo intrigues me too.
As shown, my car had factory A.C. and with the compressor there, apparently the air snorkel was flipped to the other side for clearance? Since that 'paper hose' was missing when I bought the car, I had no idea what that opening in the frame rail was for ...or what that opening in the snorkel was for? Was the engineering intent such that latent heat from the heater pipes in the sills would pre-heat the air intake?

Stophos: yes the paper hose does in fact sit into the tub rail. Let me know if you need a picture as to where exactly that is, I can run into the garage if needed.
Mo: as far as A/C and all that stuff, my car never had any of that... so i couldn't tell you exactly why yours is flipped or anything like that. And to be honest, I never really thought about taking the heat from the sills to pre-heat the intake... but that sounds like something Porsche would of thought about. When I purchased the car, the snorkel did not have the paper hose attached, but I found myself looking thru numerous books to find a picture of a correct engine to use as a model... and thats basically what I came up with.
