Dampers on Bumpers
Guys do this make any sense, my porsche has a mixture of bracket holding the wide body and dampers, i told him(Body Shop) dampers is for moving parts, he told me since the bumpers do flex at certain speeds he added them...i think its BS though....can you all give me your opinion on this.....here is some pics.....

I suppose if there was buffeting at high speed those would help 'dampen' it. Then again, so would a big piece of angle iron.

Just to be clear...are those dampers on the bumper extensions? Is it a fiberglass bumper or factory? Seems a bit far fetched with factory bumper...FG perhaps???

They are fiberglass not steel, only the front fenders are steel...front bumpers fiberglass

That looks a lot like an air cylinder. There even appears to be an open air port in the first photo. I could be wrong though...

Damping involves moving parts.
A solid mount on the front of the fender means no moving parts. Did you pay for said dampers? If not, run them, and brag to anyone who asks. If you paid...well...
