Need new strut inserts..

This is on my 72 and this will no longer be an auto-x car.
Car has adjustable koni's in the rear and very old koni's in the front (org Boge) that came with the car when I bought it in 91.
So it’s either going to be koni's or bilstein in the front. I still like to drive around the twisties, but here in Chicago, that's pretty much non existent. Still I want to say I have either koni's or bilstein. ;)
I'm looking for advice, should I get Koni's, bilstein or bilstein sport. I don't want boge or kyb. Are the koni's adj. from the top mount like my other car or do you have to remove the insert? I will be going with monoballs as that's what kind of guy I am.:D
Thanks.

After reading some old posts I'm going the Koni route.
Thanks.
P.S. Does anyone have any links in their favs that explain the strut removal and replace with A-arms still in car?
Thanks

I liked my Koni's, but went with custom bilsteins on my coil over conversion. You going with the standard red or yellow sport Koni's? Jason at Paragon Products is the best resource I know for info on Koni shocks. You do not need to remove the a arm, just disconnect the bottom of the stut from the ball joint. Maybe a good time to replace them as well. All you have to do is get the pin out, then I've used a block of wood and a big persuading hammer to separate the strut from the ball joint.
