Capt. I have a 1987 Targa 3.2 with some small up-grades, I use Bosch Platnum-4. Many have said this was just bling but my Targa has never run better, ther is no gapping or guessing. The plugs have been in for about a year and all is great.

If you like NGKs, then a BPR6ES works well.

Unfortunatley there is no 'standard' replacement interval for spark plugs, as there are a number of different factors which effect their rate of wear eg. annual mileage, driving environment (mainly city or open road use?), engine condition (oil burner?) etc.

Personally (and I'm a auto mechanic BTW), I don't change the spark plugs in any of my (5) cars until they start showing symptoms of needing replacement (misfire etc), and at which time I always replace the whole set.

Regards,
Steve
