3.2L to 3.4L conversion exhaust options

I've read many post on here regarding exhaust options but I haven't found one that addresses my application. My 3.2 has been rebuilt to 3.4L (98mm Mahles 10.5.1 c/r) Webcam 20/21 cam's and Steve W is setting up the chip for me. I replaced the rear muffler with a fabspeed unit as the stock muffler needed to go. Once I pass DEQ i would like to look at some options to open it up alittle more. I welcome your questions or comments as I have allot of $$$ invested in this motor so at this point I want to finish it off right. Thanks for all your help.

993 heat exchangers if you need heat if not a nice set of headers and a nice 2in muffler though fabspeed would not be my choice for this combo Though I am biased

I am not and expert but stock is fine w a cat bypass & sport muffler.

993HE's as Ben says is probably the highest quality way to get bigger w heat. They are larger but are short tube un-equal length. You will need a custom fit muffler solution. Ben makes those to or you have to fab up your own. However, there has not been any before and after dyno results to indicate how much this approach will yield. It is possible that with a low overlap EFI cam, the style of the headers is not as important as just opening them up.

Heat w long tube racing style headers, B&B seems to be about it. However, there muffler is not well thought of and it is a custom fit system again so a custom muffler would be needed unless you just use there's.

Without heat a proven header system European Racing Headers made by George Narbel are a great option. They bolt up to any stock mounting style 2 in sport muffler. They are reasonably priced and are equal length. Most the Porsche tuners seem to be using these unless they go to a custom built $3k+ system. About the best performance to value option.

I believe the larger tube system gain about 10hp on a tuned 3.2, sport muffler to sport muffler. With you larger size and cams, you might even do a little better.

Just my opinion.

I've had just about all of them - (including the B & B) if cost is no option then talk to Steve Weiner - he has some custom GHL - they are bigger primaries but with the 3.2 heater boxes and will work with standard mufflers - so more choices - but they are big money.

BTW - I have the 993 HE with a MK muffler (it's version I) now.

Instant G (Steve Timmons makes an exhaust too for conversions that you can use for 3.4's)

lots of choices out there (low $$ vs $$$$$$$$$$$) - just depends on your desire for performance vs your tolerance for drone or bleeding eardrums

That supply is exhausted no pun intended so not really an option anymore with GHL MIA

I think you need to start sending me exhausts to test Ben - it seems I am pretty rough of them...
