Can a Ring and Pinion Set be Refurbished?

Hi Guys

I picked up an old mag cased 915 (4spd) a while ago to grab a few bits and pieces I needed. Unfortunately one of the bits I hoped to use turned out to be kaput - the 7:31 ring and pinion Not to matter, I went with good the 8:31 I had.

Some pics of bad R&P...

Anyway, rather than make an interesting paper weight of these items, I was wondering if anyone refurbishes these items with any success and within a reasonable price range?

I note I can pick up a secondhand 7:31 R&P for around $750-800 so refurb would have to be a bit cheaper to be worthwhile...

Any thoughts or experiences?

Cheers
