May have found my next 911, help needed..

May have finally found my next 911, pending PPI, etc., etc.

Before I spend approx. $275 on a PPI wanted to see if anyone here might help.. Car is in Costa Mesa, being sold by TruSpeed Motorcars. Research shows pretty good reviews of them. Would like to see if someone might run by and do a quick run down to see if worth doing a PPI on it.

Also, any other comments on TruSpeed?

THANKS!

Kenny

ALSO... Recommendations on place to get PPI done?

Costa Mesa is next door to Huntington Beach. Pristine Motorsports in HB can do a PPI. They are a licensed dealer and repair facility, just so you know. You can also call Auto Kennel, who is also a dealer in CM, but does not do repairs that I know of. I do know that Paul knows where to go if he can't do it. He could definitely do the visual.

Those are just 2 of many, but the closest I can think of.

Callas Rennsport is about 20-30 miles away, but definitely worth the tow-truck ride, as they will find everything good and bad about the car.

I WISH! Not enough $$$ in the bank since investments took a nose dive thanks to the stock market last year!

Pardon the hi-jack, but has anyone ever heard of one of these? (from the Truspeed site):

"Only 1295 ( H-Program) hand built Targas were brought to the U.S. in 1987!"

Not quite true. According to the Red Book there were around 4000 H program cars. H program is nothing special. Just the manufacturer's designation of the 1987 model year 911.

I bought a car from them in 2006 and wasn't that impressed with the car or the customer service. I've since sold it.

I checked everything out today. Thay are moveing into a bigger place across the street and it is real nice. I liked the new place and the person that i talked to. They have some REAL nice stuff in there. The 959 is beautiful. I also looked at the blue 79 930. Real low miles. Had a white 87 930 with 25000 miles. Lot of eye candy for sure. Jim

$275 for a PPI That is a good deal. I have heard of people spending 2x that or more to get a complete mechanical and body shop PPI. Especially if you require detailed photos and explanation of the findings. 2 hours ea (mechanical/body) and an hr. ea for write up / photos /repair ests. at $100 hr.

I have been there several times over the last few years when my travels take me to Costa Mesa. They have very nice cars and a knowledgeable staff. I have had several long conversations with Scott McCloud. He knows the product well. In fact, I was seriously considering purchasing one of their cars but happened upon a better deal closer to my east coast home.
