Does anyone know this "Arrow Blue" '79 930?

A friend of mine is looking at it... and I noticed one of the receipts in an image was from Pelican. As the color combo is unique, I was thinking someone around here may know some of its history. Any input is welcome:

Too funny... that was my exact thought when I saw the receipt (complete with name and address - doh!). I live close enough that I could drive over and knock on the door.

I took a couple pics of it at the German Autofest a couple years ago. It was entered into the concourse...

That color combo is the shiz! It's loud, and certainly not for everyone, but I've been drooling over that car on Truspeed's site for a while now. Damn I love it!

There is an article on the Hemmings site about it. Very nice car. Amazes me that this colour was available through 1982 yet there are so few cars that were ordered in Arrow Blue. Certainly one of my favorites.

$62k? that's quite a premium for a rare color.

They also want $62k for a white '87 930 coupe. I don't get it either.

Not so rare a colour This is mine in bright sunlight, it changes again in softer light.

The code is L305. Chad Plavan's racing car is also Arrow Blue. I understand it was first used in one of the original IROC cars.

I was in their showroom many months ago, and saw that car. They told me back then that it was sold. Guess not.

It's a really cool looking car! Certainly the cosmetics appear very clean.

Can't see anywhere near $62K for a '79 930, though. That doesn't even seem to be in the ballpark of price reality.
