I hear alot about ac delete. Considering the ac systems doesnt seem to work well should I just remove it? Or should it be left in for resale value down the road?

You're in California with more temperate weather so it is really a matter of personal choice. I happen to like AC, of course, I live in Texas where not having AC is a pretty rough proposition.

However, if you remove it, remove all of it don't just be that guy who removes the compressor and calls it an AC delete. Do the job right and get rid of the whole nine yards: compressor, condensers, lines, evaporators, etc.

Its OK to remove if you don't want to invest in making it work properly.
BUT .. do not toss the parts. Keep everything for the resale.
