How were dashes covered from factory

Can anyone please tell me if a car was supplied with a leather interior did that mean when it left the factory assembly line the dash it was wrapped in leather as well or were all cars regardless of leather or vinyl interiors supplied with vinyl dashes.

Referring to 84 to 89 carrera 3.2s

It depends on the year and the market in which the car was sold. Originally, they had leather dashes. They also offered an option for hot climates that had all of the upper surfaces in the car (dash, door tops, etc.) in vinyl. I think they discontinued the leather dash at one point but I'm not sure. I had two full leather cars in 1986 and they both had a leather dash.
