78/79 heads on an 82
What will happen to the compression if I were to install a set of 78 - 79 heads on a stock 82 SC. I'm going to install a whipple supercharger on my 82, but would like to increase the runners to the 39 mm size without increasing the compression ratio. Is there a way to install the 78 - 79 runners and not change the heads?

as long as the depth of the mating surfaces (where the cylinders seat) are the same as your 82 heads, then no change in compression
