What years steering wheel fits an 1989

Ok, I have a 1989 3.2 carrera (not a 964) and I purchase a raised hub steering wheel from another Pelican poster. But the Steering shaft spline on that wheel is ~17mm and the steering Shaft on my 1989 measures about 20mm's. What year steering wheels will fit my Carrera and since I need to sell this other wheel, what years does it fit. The wheel looks like the stock 4 spoke Carrera wheel but the hub spline is smaller then mine. Any help would be appreciated. Any one need a raised hub black Carrera wheel with a ~17mm spline?
Thanks,
Blade

The wheel that you purchased is most likely for a 944. The steering wheels were the same but the hub is a different size than the 911.

I make a steering column bushing that fits all 911 steering hubs and columns from 1974-1989. So I would assume that any steering wheel in those years would fit the steering shaft spline. Whether the base of the steering wheel will match the column hub is another question I can't answer.

I bought just the raised hub section once thinking I would use my stock 89 911 wheel but it, like yours, wouldn't fit. I sold it to someone that new what it was and boutht a Porsche 930s wheel brand new. I really like it.

I think michael is correct, the number on the raised hub steering wheel is 994 347 084 09 (10VERL). So it looks like I have a 994 wheel. Thanks for the help
