Ever use these Oil Return Tubes???

So I bought all new oem style oil return tubes for my top end job on my 2.4. However I pulled these off the engine. I have not seen this style and they are not available thru pelican. Anyone seen them before? I'm thinking they are just trash as they weigh at least a pund or two a piece. Thanks

I had the spring ones on my 930 when I bought it in 1993..very sturdy but the engines have to come apart occasionally and I install new non collapsable each time
I still have at least one of the spring types on the shelf for 15 years or more
They are a lot more sophisticated then the basic replacement collapsable

As a practical matter, 1 or 2 pound weight is irrelevant. The important things are; do they stop oil leaks, and are they easier to install compared to the replacements available today.

Looks like an outstanding design to me. I wouldn't pitch them, I'd refurbish with new seals.

I agree, they look pretty hi-tech and dependable. Who wouldn't want that?

They were designed to be installed without pulling the top end; very handy if an original has a leaky seal.

Phil
