Master Cylinder - Brake Reservior Lines Insertion

Had the great pleasure of addressing the insertion of the reservoir lines in MBC. I love the installation notes "simply re-insert lines" . . . well since I have not master the GI Joe Kung Fu grip here is my recommendation for other about to install a new MBC:

* Release the lines from the reservoir and carefully guide and pull them out through the underneath of the car. This will allow you the right level of leverage to then reinsert and seat the fluted aluminum hard line in to the MBC grommets properly. Thread lines back through bottom and back up to reservoir. Done this way it takes less than 10 minutes to insert and reinstall lines to the reservoir. The alternative simply means adding an additional 2 hours and a mild heart attack to the process.

* If for some reason you are not able to locate your clear bleeding line required to bleed your brake system at all 4 wheels, you will be amazed at how well clear straws can be modified to fulfill same functionality . . . ask me how I know?

I am sure others have better ways to insert lines and NEVER forget to have their bleeder lines ready to go but just wanted to post so some can laugh and others can realize the many uses of clear plastic straws.

See you on the road!

It does help to keep the m/c somewhat loose while attaching the threaded lines, otherwise you end up cursing for hours trying to start the thread!
