Hi all, I test drove a '88 Porsche 930 slant-nose last weekend and I'm now lusting after it However, being a relatively newbie to vintage Porsches in general, I did notice that the brakes seemed to be fairly unresponsive, requiring much more pressure than say, a current model M3.Are the brakes from this era power assisted or are they mechanical? I'm bringing the car to a Porsche specialist next week to have him perform a full inspection plus leakdown and will definately point this out. Thanks in advance, Wade |

If by "unresponsive" you mean only the fact that there is a hard pedal, then yes, that's normal on an older 930. But they are still tremendous brakes. If you mean they are not stopping the car very well, something's definitely wrong.
