Clark at Corvette Center is painting it. He's done lots of Porsches for Gerard and they came out gorgeous! You should see Mel's guards red SC/grey interior. That car is to die for.

snbush67 05-19-2009 09:08 PM

Have you ordered tires yet?

WPOZZZ 05-21-2009 01:40 AM

Not yet. I went to the shop today and the boys pulled my motor. Looks like the new motor is getting ready to go in along with the new gas tank and probably suspension/brakes. Gonna get some rollers for the car as the wheels are coming off for refinishing locally.

Finaly I get to see some pictures

Hi Bryan,

so this is how I get to see some pictures since you banned me from looking up your photobucket account :p

I just want everybody to know what great people Gerard and Bryan are. They helped me in every which way possible to get my Speedster to Australia.
Thank you so much SmileWavy

It is due on the 17th of June and I can't wait...

Best regards

Martin

It's getting there that fast? Wow! Btw, the photobucket acct is set to private nowdays.

WPOZZZ 05-28-2009 01:21 AM

She has a new gas tank installed and the decklid/tail has been disassembled. The car was also pressure washed last week.

snbush67 05-29-2009 07:06 PM

Let me guess, your leaving the AC in right?

WPOZZZ 05-29-2009 09:15 PM

Yes, the ac stays in the car.

She goes out for paint next week Monday. I have the dash and seats at Golden and spoke to Jack at GAHH for the proper leather and contrasting piping. Yikes, this is going to be a very expensive project. I'm also rebuilding the stock motor and not using the other SC motor that was supposed to go into the car.

Wheels are getting dropped off this weekend for refinishing.

snbush67 05-29-2009 10:24 PM

I think its great that you are going back to original. I really think that is a special car and deserves the care you are putting into it.

Is that your engine on craigslist?

WPOZZZ 05-29-2009 10:51 PM

Nope, not my engine. Whomever ends up with this car after I finish the resto is going to get one helluva deal!

obersturm 04-07-2010 05:36 PM

Update, please?

Hi Bryan,

so what is the story?

How come there are no updates? Is it finished, sold, on the market or what?:p

Best regards from OZ

Paint is done. Motor rebuild is done w/Carrera tensioner update. Front seats and headliner/sunroof panel are re-upholstered. Waiting on the interior guy to dye the door panels as they faded.

Waiting on wheel centers to be painted.

WPOZZZ 04-23-2011 08:36 PM

2 years later and she looks like this. The door panels go on next week and I still have to clean the carpets. The motor is fresh with maybe 10 miles on her, Carrera tensioner upgrade done along with a new clutch, fuel tank, rebuilt WUR, accumulator, sun visors, new leather for the front seats and dash...

Hey Brian that really is looking good, the paint came out sweet. Lets see some pics of the interior and engine . Are you driving it yet?
Nice job. Were the wheels done on Oahu?

Cheers Richard

WPOZZZ 04-23-2011 09:44 PM

When the door panels go in, I'll take pics. I also need to have the rear seat pads redone.

The car drives great as I drove her around the block a few times today trying to adjust my Prototipo. The wheels were done by a kid here, but he took shortcuts in the polishing. If you look on Craiglsist, there is a guy that does Porsche wheels and his name is Dennis. I know he does big rigs so I may try him next. My painter finished the centers and the caps.

Thanks, Tom! With the Weissach it was one of those things that I had to restore it. Any other SC and it would have been time for all kinds of mods and wild colors. I still prefer your viper green to the platinum metallic.

snbush67 04-24-2011 01:02 PM

Bryan,

Very nice! When are you taking it out? Cars and coffee?

Shane
