master cylinder leak
I had to use a torch to loosen one of the master cylinder nuts in order to remove the pedal cluster. Right after that a small amount of brake fluid came flowing down over the m cyl. The pedal is still firm. but the m cyl stays wet, even after repeated wipes. When you push the brake pedal, bubbles flow up one of the clear lines behind the pedal cluster. Did I melt something? Can you replace that line without having to bleed the system? Thanks

you will need to bleed the system if you replace to line. bubbles in the line, sounds like air in the system. fill out your profile.

It sounds like you might have melted either the MC shaft seal, or the brake fluid supply line sealing plug(s). If it's the plug(s) you could just replace them. If it's the shaft seal you need to rebuild, or better yet, replace the MC. If you're real lucky one of the sealing plugs just worked its way out and needs to be pushed back in...personally I am never THAT lucky.
