Chassis Dolly Specifications: Ideas?

For those of you that have, or are presently restoring a 911, and are using a chassis dolly to get the car up to a level that you can work;

What are some ideas for construction of a chassis dolly?

Where are good contact points to the body?

Overall dimensions?

I am assuming that you would want it to be on swivel castors?

Any you would want a dolly that allowed access to both the engine and the trunk compartments?

Would you want to make a skeletal frame, so that you could access the floorboards? Or would you want a flat 'deck' surface that supports the complete floor pan?

Any pictures of existing dollies would be much appreciated?

Thanks for your help.

Chris,

Sorry, no info for you, but I'm interested in hearing what you find out. If you get responses offline, would you send me a copy at csprigg@hotmail.com?

Thanks,
Charlie

There is a couple of pictures and diagrams of a dolly for doing frame alignment in the factory manuals. I dig up the info when I get home tonight.
