price check fuchs 16X7 and 16X9 original
 

I have a friend that is selling a set of original fuchs that he took out of his 930 turbo back in 1986. I think the should sell for around 1200 but he really needs to sell them and in this economy I need a realistic price. Please let me know your toughts.

They'd sell in a few hours at $1200.

They are worth at least $1600, if they were advertised around he'd get $2K+.

Some minimum wage wheel balancer dood should be shot.

$1200 is a "give-away" price.

$1600-2000 is far more reasonable.

So I guess 1,500 is a good fair price for all parties? buyers and seller

A lot depends on the condition of the wheels, particularly the anodizing.

The centers can be repainted fairly inexpensively, but if the anodizing is scratched or damaged, it is not particularly cheap to get them redone. If the anodizing is perfect of close to perfect, $1500 would be a little light, IMO. I'd think a "fair deal" is more like $1700-$1800.

If the anodizing is mediocre, $1500 would be ok (but I think the seller could get more).

I'll take em for $1200. :D

Putting the weights there has some advantages, you know.

The anodizing on them is perfect, I think the wheel where on the car for about a week then he changed them for a set of BBS, they have very minor scratches and they are mainly from storage and moving around. the paint is very nice front and back

$1500 is low.

I think you can get brand new ones for about $850 each for the 9*16. At least I did winter before last from Suncoast Porsche in FLA.

I apologize if this seems like a dumb question...but have you checked to make sure they are authentic Fuchs?

The only reason I ask is because I wouldn't have known the difference between real and fake up until about 3 months ago.

Those look to be the real deal. Most, if not all the repros have tell tale signs you can see from here.

how bad are the repros from the sponser? i am curious I have 15" Fuchs and would like to go to 16" If anyone is interested they are off a 28k car
