Front Torsion Bar Adjustment Weirdness
Fooling around with the front T-bars during ride height/corner balance on my '77and noticed that the amount of adjustment to achieve equal ride height L to R was quite different from side to side. I just wrote it off to one weak bar or incorrect installation by a PO and didn't give it much thought due to the fact that bigger bars were going in soon.................Well today I put the new 21mm bars in and the issue remains. During installation, with both suspension arms hanging all the way down, I indexed the splined end caps/adjusters the same on both sides. When I got the ride height set the right adjuster is about mid travel and the left one is screwed almost all the way in. I will probably re-index the left adjuster so that it is mid-travel at the correct ride height but it bugs me that they are so different from L to R. Shouldn't they be essentially equal with new bars? I'm wondering if maybe I have a bent or twisted A-arm or is there no correlation between L and R on these? PO installed new rubber bushings on the A-arms so maybe he F'd it up some how. Scratching my head.............

What you've noticed is normal. The adjusters on my car are also different from side-to-side. I re-indexed the bars, but that made no difference.
