what's in your trunk?

concours guys might cringe when they see this;
the weather was great,
i wanted to drive the porsche
and i needed some supplies for a garden.

so i took the old girl for a spin and fitted a complete garden lawn in my trunk with ease.
got some funny looks at the garden centre from the other SUV drivers when i was loading it up.

the car was designed to facilitate daily life, and daily life involves such shopping trips, so i figure it's fine to do. :)

Looks fine to me....I once had a lawn mower in the front seat.

we had the same situation here today - beautiful weather, off from work, a desire to ride the car, and some errands to run - so we first hit the laundromat and picked up some throw rugs my wife had left (the lady was kind of shocked to see the car - ha ha) - and then we picked up some bird food.

good looking and practical!!

beautiful 911T by the way.

Junk... in the trunk.

A couple days ago, I had my spare deck lid in there. Off to the body shop for paint.

Mine's got two amplifiers and an Odyssey battery. No jack, spare or tools.

I sometimes get the puzzled looks when I am loading groceries in the front of the car. Once in response to their puzzlement, I said "......yeah those silly Germans put the engine in the back, what are you going to do?"

My "Frunk" contains a spare on a Fuchs 15x7,a factory jack & tire iron, battery (Optima), a large toolbag full of just about every tool and roadside MacGyver thing I might need, a 12v cig lighter air compressor, a small fuel can, can of carb cleaner, pint of brake fluid, and...

a stick to hold my engine decklid open, since I am too cheap to buy a decklid piston.

Good for you. Sometimes you have to run it around town and use it :>). Lord knows I do. I love the looks people give me.

Isn't the grass seed supposed to go in the smuggler's box?

Brother 05-22-2009 07:37 PM

That grass seed should help the handling. Maybe you should leave it there.
