| Favorite bad driving habit
I know this is silly and totaly iresponsable, and I do feel bad about it... But my favorite bad driving habit is blasting along in the fast lane, maybe racing someone, and then suddenly cutting across a number of lanes and taking an off ramp. Bill '79SC

Pbs: that's a good one! My worst habit: when someone is coming up fast behind me and then changes lanes to pass, I accelerate just enough to stay ahead of them. I usually only do that to Mustangs and imports with giant spoilers. ------------------ '71 911E with Webers Golden Gate Region PCA http://www.geocities.com/edrecinto/

My favorite bad habit while driving is 'Pulling a Clinton', recieving that is! As long as you don't have to shift gears, its aaaall good... Adam Roseneck P.S. Watch for the speed bumps, she don't like that ------------------ 1978 911SC 3.0 roseneck@cyberbeach.net

I'm no irresponsible lunatic, but my favourite is to rip up to 90mph or so on a freeway on-ramp, then seamlessly blend into the slower traffic. I also love rapid lane changes, but again, only where conditions permit and I've enough room to do so! AC ------------------ Adam Chaplin - 1976 911S Coupe

My fave? When I see some doofus weaving in and out of traffic behind me, I subtly place my vehicle in traffic to keep him just behind me-then slowy increase speed (with him right on my tail) as I close on a slower-moving car in front of me-then change lanes quickly and let him stand on his brakes to keep from hitting the car I just avoided. I LOVE doing that. Second fave? Seeing cops running radar ahead of me and running the same blocking/lane-changing manuever to get the tailgater nailed by the cop. ------------------ Clay McGuill '66 912, '97 Jeep Cherokee www.geocities.com/the912guy

Do I have to pick just one. :-) I go for the drafting routine all the time, especally with my truck (tuck up behind a semi). Also when people do me pet pieve (attempt to merge with 75 mph traffic at 40 mph) I usually punch it in 3rd and go rocketing accross all lanes (if clear) I probably would like to run with freefly, but I havn't (knock on wood) had to do that yet. ------------------ Ted Stringer nuke3@juno.com '84 911 Targa aka pocketrocket

I try to be responsible all the time while I drive but then what's the point of having a 911? I have some favorite freeway ramps (one's a 270 degree turn) and once in a while you can get one of those heavily modified rice burners tailgating you onto it. Just love to watch them in the mirror tearing their tires off as I wind it up all the way around the ramp. I can't believe I still do that kind of thing. Oh well, age is inevitable - maturity is optional! ------------------ Allan Broadribb '70-911E, 2.2l with Webers http://www.cheaterswayside.com/uploads/Mvc-002s355.jpg

Favorite bad habit? Well I love to accelerate hard down the onramp to a motorway. Also I like to go very fast on the motorway (180+ km/h). Hazardous to my driving license so I try to restrain myself. Oh and every time I approach a tunnel, I open the windows and floor the gas pedal just as I enter the tunnel, ahhhh the sound

My two favorites are: 1. Cruising in the right "slow" lane and passing people in all the "fast" lanes. It is amazing how clear the right lane can be, all the putz wads hangout in the faster lanes pretending they are going fast. This also clasifies as a pet peev. 2. Engine braking slowly on approach to an exit ramp pissing off the A#$ hole behind you and then drop the hammer once we get to the tight exit ramp. Usually I do this to let slow traffic ahead of me clear, so I can have fun. Anyway, by the time I am out of the exit ramp the sucker behind me is nowhere in sight Especially gratifying on pimped out ricers. BTW I like that Clinton driving manuver... My favorite? Pulling my Expedition in front of a 911 to show them my "Blow Me" bumper sticker. Kidding, Noah... 405 South to the 90 West ramp to an open 90 freeway at 110 or so. Anyone from LA has done this. You can see in all directions Bar Green 993 Carrera Cab
