New LTB quik release, Now steering wheel to close

Just installed a LTB quik release steering wheel system, it had a Momo spacer installed on the splines and a Momo Mod 7 wheel. Now the steering wheel is to high and a little to close on my track car. It looks like I'll need to ditch the Momo spacer and find a small adaptor as the quik release moves the wheel out about 3"s and the spacer is also about 3"s, I need to lose about 3"s
Has any one else run into this?

Yes. On my 944 race car, I simply took the spacer off when I added the quick-release.

My spacer has no splines. the six screws that hold the steering wheel onto the hub are a couple inches long, and hold the spacer and wheel, instead of the shorties that hold the wheel directly on the hub.

Thanks for the info, my problem is the spacer is held on by the large nut. If I remove the existing Momo spacer I think I'll need the original spacer that's held on by the nut, which I don't have as I bought the car with the Momo wheel installed.
I'll take a closer look this week as the car is in my rental garage.

Any one have an extra spacer they would like to sell?

Take the momo spacer to a shop and have it shortened? Try 1" 1st as it is a lot easier to take material off then it is to put it back on

Are the spacer and the big nut located at the base of the steering column? If so, that's the momo hub, and AFAIK you cannot remove the base of it (what you're referring to as a spacer) as you'll lose the splines that mate the hub to the steering shaft. I tried a more conventional quick release on my car and ended up ditching it to go with the Snap-Off, which is only about 3/4". The other thing you could do is use a different steering wheel with less dish.
