Anyone got experience with the compu-tronix DIS6 ignition?

Hi everyone
I am strongly considering buying this ignition system from my car, after having done some research around it's specifications.

Has anyone here installed this system on their car? What are your experiences with it so far?

I don't have any experience with it but it seems like a cool system. i think a single plug electromotive system is $1200, at $600 it is half the price and does basically the same thing. seems like a cleaner/easier install also.

I just had a loook at the unit on the net.
It appears to be made by the same company that makes one for Harleys.
I tried one....did not have good luck with it...the electronics were somewhat unstable.
It made the bike very hard to start and it mis-fired.
Perhaps I got a bad one, but I went back to points and coil and have never had a problem with those.
Overall...the unit looks nice....and the ability to index the wires to the back would be nice.
The coil assembly could be hidden on the shroud behind the altenator...and the wires run by the most direct route to the plugs (cleans up the engine).
Hope you have good luck with it....keep us posted.
Bob
