Mounting recaro seats in '72 shell
 

Have bought some Recaro Pole position for my RSR project.
Came with Recaro bases.
However they will not mount on the chassis mounts in the car, the chassis mounts are too short.
Nobody I know makes a low profile slider unit
DOes anyone know of an expert in this field or has anyone tried to do this before.
The only solution I have is to weld a plate in across the ends of the chassis mount plates and put holes in to mount the seat in a static position.
Any better ideas ??

Momo makes a low profile slider unit to bolt to the base mounts. I had one but left it at my friend's shop. I may have access to it, if it is still around. If you need it, drop me an e-mail and I'll see if it is still there.
