Fuel Pressure at Rail?
What fuel pressure should I be seeing at the fuel rail test port for my 84 Carrera 911 3.2 Motronic?
At idle I'm seeing 35 psi, what should I see at various rpms?

The Bentley says it is supposed to be 36 psi with the engine off and the fuel pump jumpered to run.
RPM has nothing to do with the fuel pressure. The regulator is there to provide a constant pressure drop across the injectors so that each DME pulse delivers the same fuel at all engine loads. The Bentley also says it is supposed to be 29 psi with the engine running, I assume that is idle. Is your 35 psi with the vacuum hose disconnected from the regulator?

I was getting my 35 psi with the vacuum hose connected to the regulator. I haven't been able to get the reading with the fuel pump jumpered because I don't have jacks or ramps so I can't get under the car. Is there any other way to jump it?

spec is 2.5 bar. 1 bar = 14.7 psi. Measure with vacuum line disconnected from regulator. Normally you'd see 38-39 psi with vacuum line disconnected. If you're getting 35 psi at idle with the vacuum line connected, you should check and see if there's any leaks in your vacuum line.
