Rewire door open buzzer to lights on - Anyone do this?

One of the most annoying things of my 89 is the door open with ignition on buzzer! Drives me nuts, but then when I leave the lights on, I get no indication that I have done so.

Has anyone ever rewired the buzzer to turn on if the door is open while the ignition is off and the lights are on? Now that would be a worthwhile use of that anyoying buzzz sound..

That is an interesting idea! You know you can remove the buzzer completely in about 2 minutes if you like.

I've been left stranded many times when I left my headlights on. Installed a chime buzzer from Radio Shack, and all is good. Wired the power to the headlight circuit and ground to the dome light ground circuit. Hardest part was securing to little angel hair thin wires.

Do a search and you'll find tons of info...

don't know if I did that but my car doesn't have the buzzler. I wire some dom lights to the door switches.
