front bumper removal
Getting the 80 SC ready for the painter. The front bumper will not come loose on the passenger side. Drivers side no problem. I've removed the accordions on both sides, removed the four nuts on front, loosened the oil cooler etc. Tried the BFH from behind, no luck.
Did a search and found removing front valance and bumper, thanks billjam What am I missing? Any ideas? Vince |

Vince,
I had to remove mine (can't remember why, but that's not important) and it was a HUGE PITA to get the passenger side to "release". I'm guessing that the rubber insulator fused to the bumper. I was able to get it free when I placed a floor jack with a wood block under it and raised the car a bit. Don't go crazy! And spray some silicone lubricant where the bumper nuts secure the bolts. And good luck...

Joe,
Thanks for the quick reply. Used the jack method and still no budge. Finally loosened the impact part and the bumper slid right off. Now for the rear.... Vince |
