911 WIndow Gasket Replacement

I need to replace all window gaskets on my 1980 911SC (Euro). These gaskets all have a trim piece that appears to have been black anodized, but are now deteriorated. My question is: Can I substitute the later model gaskets that do not require the trim piece? This would make the installation cleaner and I would not have to re anodize the trim. The question applies to windshield, rear window and both rear quarter windows. Thanks

Mike

That was the happening thing of the early 90's to use C2 seals all around. It made for a cleaner installation.
