Porsche Crest Help with Body Seal

My right rear fender to bumper seal sticks out in the center. I can push it back in but it always eventually pops back out in the center. I looked inside the fender and noticed that the metal edges are bent a bit away from each other. I tried to press them together with a pair of pliers--didn't make a bit of difference.

How can I get this seal to stay in?

Thanks,
David

I have the same problem with my front fender/cowl gasket. I'm gonna guess that the only long term repair is to unbolt the parts and sandwich in a new seal.

Essentially that's what I did a few years ago. Loosened the bolts, removed the old seal, slipped in the new seal and snugged down the bolts. It's been fine ever since. I go the seal from Pelican.

Well, One thing you could try is to remove the bumper extention and then try to gently straighten out the fender and extention lip. Most likely you won't be able to get the two pieces of sheet metal to sit flat against each other if you just try to squeeze them together. Separating them and then gently bending should get them to sit flat.

Make sure that you have all three mounting bolts in place for these pieces too!
