Engine wiring loom for 3.2 - instal in a 912

Hello list

Looking for some advice regarding the install of a 3.2 engine wiring loom in my SWB 912 ('68).

My questions are:

I was under the impression that the computer goes under the seat - for a RHD drive car is it the drivers seat?

The bottom of the seat pan hits the EFI unit (only just). Any suggestions?

Should I run the loom through the tunnel (its pretty tight in there) or should it just sit under the carpet?

Where should I pass it through the firewall?

How should I screw down the Motronic unit to prevent moisture from penetrating the screw holes?

Any pics would be greatly appreciated!

TIA.

Roland

The ECU goes under the left side seat.

Here are some picts for you. I installed the same loom in my SC and ran into similar questions..

I used rubber mounts and a custom bracket to mount the ECU and relay. And then just drilled through the floor. I then used silicon sealeant around the hole to try and keep water out. I also sprayed all newly drilled holes with rust preventative primer before installing everything for the final time.

Thanks Jeff - appreciate the pics.

One further question.... The loom comes out of the fire wall, then just runs on top of the carpet?

Also, did you have any issues with the seat hitting the EFI box?

Thanks again
