The short answer is yes, the long answer is not so easily...

Do a quick search on Zenith here and you will find much discussion on the Zenith topic, here is a quick summary:

1) Zenith is a great carb, technically better then the equivalent Weber, but proabably not a good as the related PMO carb.

2) Zenith venturi's, jets and other internals etc... are undersized for anything but a 2.2T application

3) Zenith parts venturi's are no longer widely available, making them difficult or impossible to tune for high-performance application

4) Some claims have been made that Motor Meister (please research them) has a large stock of Zenith parts but no one seems to be able to verify or deal with them

5) Some people have claimed to build/modify/machine their own parts (typically starting with weber parts)

6) One limiting factor is the stock Zenith came with 27mm venturi's most applications call for at least 32mm

I just finished My zenith carb conversion on my 79 SC. It's not that hard. I machined my own venturi's and reemed my own jets. They work awesome. Motormeister is a pain in the ass to deal with. I don't think they are crooks, I think the are just so " california cool " that they don't get the job done like customers want. Any questions email me and we can talkl more about my build. and maybe help you with yours, pcar9119@yahoo.com.
