oil additive
Looking for opinion on Zmax oil additive.
Web site says good for all cars, planes etc... but I don't know if i should trust it in my 1980 911 sc , if you do put it in do you use 2 or 3 treatments due to the amount of oil we take. Anyone with personal knowledge, scientific (there are a lot of smart pelicans), or just personal opinions would be great . ![]() ![]() |

Use only PORSCHE APPROVED oils and additives!!! Everything else is home garage snake oil without development or testing by engineers that sold you a factory product after spending years on research and testing on the track.

I don't believe that Porsche recommends any additives in the oil however,
I use Lucas Oil Stabilizer along with Brad Penn 20W50. I also use SeaFoam in with my gasoline. There are gobs of threads here that debate both products. I have had good luck using them and will continue to do so despite of what others may think is right. Do a search with those 2 product names and you'll have enough reading to keep you busy for several days.
