80 sc harness ?

might anyone out there have or know where i can find a true schematic/diagram of an sc.trying to trace a drop on 12v from the 14 pin to the front fuse panel. even a tracing from the 14 pin connector to it's respectful sources would help greatly. thanks for any help..... a real head scratcher....

Would this work well enough for you?

Pelican has a Wiring diagram section. Wayne has a schematic for an '82. It should do the trick for you. It is a scanned version of the factory manual. It is broken up a bit due to size, but with some patience, I think you can track your wire.

good luck!

sc harness

thanks casey for the info . i did have that diagram downloaded and gave it to my mechanic and he is currently looking for his bentley edition for a similar source, which i hope he finds. he seems to be desiring the 14 pin connector and its extension to trace a 12v volt drop somewhere from the front fuse panel the the 14 pin connector thats keeping spark at bay.we are able to jump/bypass with a temporary wire however, its just not the final solution. thanks again for your reponse ,regards, george

I copied the wiring diagrams from a Haynes manual (only thing the manual is good for) and taped them together into one long diagram. Then expanded it on an engineering photocopier. Now the diagram is 2' high by 10' long. Makes for tracing wires much easier.

Trauma,

For what car (year/model) do you need the14-pin connector information? I have complete 14-pin connector table for SC's & '77, '76, '75, and '74. Send me an email and I'll forward the table/s to you. The table shows the chassis and engine side of the 14-pin connector including the designated wire color.

There are colored wiring diagrams in the factory shop manual volume VI that are very easy to use and follow. Keep us posted.

Tony

Porsche Crest 80sc wiring harness

hey thanks guys for the follow up. charlie any chance at getting a copy of your adaption on the wiring? tony , the car is a 80sc euro , which now has an 84 euro 930 engine. some conversion was necessary to make this work. was running fine before it left for the paint shop. now we have been able to jump the spark but obviously not a permanent fix. the 14 pin connector seems to have lost the necessary voltage hence the no spark at the wires. new plugs and magnacore wires.??? hope you can help, best regards, george email- gsnevius1@aol.com
