Roll cage mount Q.

Just brought a Sparco 6p roll cage for mu 911 1984 3.2 non turbo body.

The rear and front mounting points seems to be ok, but the mounting points for the main loop is not where i would like it to be.

As i understand there is one type of cage for the 3.2 and one for the turbo.

Have they sent me the wrong type or is this normal?

Looks more like manufacturing tolerances (Sparco and Porsche). Did they send some weld in perches to attach the tube bases to? My OG fit a little different right there but the weld in perches took care or the issue. Did it come with instructions?

You might find that cutting off the provided base plates and making your own will work better.

You can make slight adjustments to the tube length and then weld to your already installed ( larger ) bases.

Not to mention, you should expect to make adjustments during the install.

We took a complete cage out of a 914 and had to trim it a bit to fit it into another 914.
Tubs vary and depending on the cars history ( accidents ), each one is unique ( slightly ).

I aim to bolt it in tho the regulations in Sweden say that i canīt have the roll cage in the car when i drive it on public roads.
So i have to remove it when i go to the dmv
The same goes for the 6 point harness.
We have to have the standard belts in the car at all time.

I was just unsure regarding whether or not i got the right cage for the car.

So i guess i will have to manufacture some kind of brackets for the cage to bolt into.

Tnx
